Thank you from Boat Poets!

2018 has been a brilliant year for Boat Poets, with six new poets completing six different residencies in London, Bristol and Plymouth. Each one has produced an excellent new poem (or in some cases a number of poems!) that have been shared at events, made into three beautiful new short films (that you can see in the FILM section of this website), printed in a booklet, and live streamed to over 8000 people on National Poetry Day (aaaand breathe!). For the first time we delivered poetry workshops in schools and community groups, inspiring new writing from young imaginations across the South West.

We want to take this opportunity to thank some of our key partners, without whom this project would not have been possible.  We, just like so many people working in the arts are delivering A LOT on limited resources and it’s because we are all working together to make actual magic happen. We are now in the midst of fundraising for next year, if you would like to chat about a partnership please do get in touch at
